Spindle Motors

A spindle motor is a small, high-precision, high-reliability electric motor that is used to rotate the shaft, or spindle. Most often the motors attached to machine tool heads are spindle motors. They are usually relitively small, high speed, high torque, motors and can be attached to a gearbox to change the speed of the motor's output. They are usually controlled by dedicated Spindle Drives.
